Your blood is made up of four main components: red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma. Platelet-Rich Plasma is concentrated component from your own blood that contains nutrient-rich cells and protein growth factors.

Platelets are tiny cells that circulate within our body and bind together when they recognize damaged blood vessels. Platelets are made in your bone marrow along with your white and red blood cells.

Plasma is the largest component of your blood, making up about 55 percent of its overall content. The primary purpose of plasma is to transport nutrients, hormones, and proteins to the parts of the body that need it.

Platelet-Rich Plasma is produced when a small amount of blood is drawn and placed into a sterile, disposable container and then spun to separate the platelets from your blood sample, resulting in a platelet-rich plasma.

Platelet-Rich Plasma is safe because it comes from your own blood, therefore there is minimal risk for allergic or immune reaction.

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a next-generation regenerative treatment derived from your own blood, similar to PRP but processed differently. PRF is spun at a lower speed without anticoagulants, allowing more platelets, white blood cells, and fibrin to remain in the sample. This creates a thicker, gel-like matrix that releases growth factors more slowly over time, providing enhanced collagen stimulation—especially beneficial for delicate areas like the under-eyes.

PRP is a liquid that releases growth factors quickly, making it ideal for microneedling and overall skin rejuvenation.

PRF contains more platelets and creates a fibrin matrix that releases growth factors gradually over 7–10 days, offering longer-lasting regenerative benefits. It is especially effective for under-eye hollowness, fine lines, thinning skin, and deeper tissue rejuvenation.

Our Nurse will draw a small amount of blood, spin it in a centrifuge to isolate PRP or PRF, and then apply it in one of two ways:

• Microneedling: PRP/PRF is applied topically to enhance healing, collagen, and glow.

• Injections: PRP/PRF is injected into targeted areas such as the under-eyes, cheeks, scalp, or full face to improve texture, tone, and hair health.

Most patients benefit from a series of 3–6 PRP or PRF treatments, spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Your provider will recommend a customized plan depending on your goals and skin condition.

Many patients notice increased hydration and glow within a few days. Collagen stimulation continues to build over the next 4–8 weeks, improving texture, firmness, and fine lines.

For PRF, results continue to evolve over several months due to the slow release of growth factors.

For hair restoration, improvements often appear within 1–2 months.
